Kent State Student Media Appoints New Leadership Position

KENT, Ohio -- Kent State Student Media promoted Tami Bongiorni to be the Assistant Director, Student Media Sales and Client Relations from her previous role as the marketing coordinator. Now, Bongiorni’s main duties will focus on revenue, media sales, client relations and leading Student Media’s growing client services initiative.

Bongiorni’s role will continue to evolve with purpose and intention, while moving many of Student Media’s initiatives forward. This promotion is a positive step and more accurately reflects the impact she has on the growth of the program.

“This promotion elevates Tami’s title to match what she has already been doing. It’s really helpful because it tells people outside of Student Media what exactly her value is in this position,” said director of Student Media Kevin Dilley.

Bongiorni has been with Kent State Student Media since 2007. During this time, she has also served as an adjunct professor to the Kent State School of Journalism for Media Planning. She earned her bachelor’s degree in Business Administration with concentrations of Marketing and Management from the University of Mount Union and also has a Masters of Business Administration from Kent State University.
