Dear students, alumni, friends and family of Student Media,

Our community is wondering how the coronavirus is effecting Student Media.

For more information about what’s happening at Kent State, please follow updates here: https://www.kent.edu/coronavirus

Our first concern is our students’ health and safety and our role in helping to mitigate the spread of the coronavirus based on the latest information we are receiving through the proper channels.

Student Media continues to produce content through their websites and social media platforms. This is especially true for newsroom partners The Kent Stater and TV2 through KentWired.com and social media channels.

Our magazine partners, have finished their magazines and are distributing them digitally. We await further information about the campus and community before making final decisions about printing and distribution of the magazines.

Black Squirrel Radio and TV2 have suspended broadcast productions. In addition, The Kent Stater has cancelled all print editions until campus reopens to students. Our other partners have cancelled staff meetings, events and other such efforts, but continue to work remotely when possible.
