Kent State Student Media joins WAUPM

Kent State Student Media is now a member of WAUPM! The Western Association of University Publication Managers is a group comprised of only 35 leading student media organizations across the nation. After receiving our second invitation to the annual conference in Philadelphia in spring 2018, we were extended an invitation to join as a full member. This membership is a testament to the amazing work of our students.

Student Media and our friends believe in smashing goals

For the first time ever, Kent State Student Media participated in KSU’s Giving Tuesday fundraiser in November. And our modest (but optimistic) expectations were surpassed in spades with the help of 156 supporters, who raised $10,121 for our students. Our goal was $4,000. The money raised will go directly to the media groups and be used for such things as student salaries, travel to conferences, and to boost innovation among many other things. We appreciate the generous support from the friends of Student Media.
